Updated with more details - Parish Quiet Day

A Parish Quiet Day has been booked for next March. It is to be held on Monday 2nd March and once more the venue will be Epiphany House in Truro. The good folks there are fine hosts and we hope that this day will be as beneficial to those that attend as Quiet days in the past.

The day has been given the title of "Leaning into God". It is being led by Rev'd Angela Brown who is a warden with the Diocescan led Way 2 community project.in Falmouth. This community has been set up for those seeking direction in their faith who live there for 2 years exploring their calling to serve God. While there they work in such places as St Petrocs, Truro Cathedral, and various parishes. Angela has been tutored and trained in Spiritual diredtion and specialises in that kind of work. Her husband, Colin, led a session at our last Quiet Day in February of last year.

During the day, we will remember how Jesus leaned into God and explore what it means for us – as individuals and as a church community – to lean into God. We will listen to God as we read scripture, pray and sit quietly; and we will listen to each other as we share together in small groups.

At the end of the afternoon, we will draw our time together to a close by sharing in an informal service of Holy Communion.

Coffee will be available from 9.45am and the day will start at 10am. There will be further coffee and tea breaks and lunch will be provided. The day will end at 4pm.To help with the catering arrangements please sign the attendance sheet to indicate that you are planning to attend and please indicate if you have any dietary, transport/access or other additional needs (large print etc.).

There will be a suggested donation to cover costs but that will include a provided for lunch.

More details will follow in due course but if you are interested in attending please see Graham Downes.
